About the Department
The Industrial Training Institute wing runs NCVT-affiliated trade programmes in which roughly two-thirds of the timetable is spent on the workshop floor. Candidates work on the same machines, tools and measuring instruments they will meet in employment.
Each trade follows the syllabus prescribed by the Directorate General of Training, is assessed through the All India Trade Test, and leads to a National Trade Certificate. Apprenticeship placement is coordinated by the institute's placement cell.
